DescriptionFarm produce, including vegetables, corn stalks, ears of corn, bundles of grain, jams, jellies, and canned goods, and eggs, is displayed on a table with with a cloth backdrop. Vegetables include pumpkins, squash, cabbages, eggplants, tomatoes, and onions. Vegetables pour from a straw cornucopia flanked by figures of Uncle Sam amd a farmer. A globe of the world is nearby. A sign reads "WE FEED THE WORLD."
NotesSubject Note: The Danbury Fair was an annual exhibition held in Danbury between 1821 and 1981. At first a traditional agricultural fair, the event later included large fiberglass sculptures, stock car racing, and amusement park rides. The former fairground is now (2011) the site of the Danbury Fair Mall. (Finlay 3/25/2011)
