DescriptionA man wearing a Santa Claus suit is standing at the open door of a convertible taking a sheet of paper from a man wearing a uniform with a patch that reads: "CONNECTICUT / MOTOR / VEHICLE / DEPARTMENT". Reindeer drawings a sleigh are depicted on the side of the car. A sign on the window of the building in the background reads: "CONNECTICUT / DEPT. OF / MOTOR VEHICLES." Venetian blinds are visible through the window.
NotesSubject Note: The Danbury Fair was an annual exhibition held in Danbury between 1821 and 1981. At first a traditional agricultural fair, the event later included large fiberglass sculptures, stock car racing, and amusement park rides. The former fairground is now (2011) the site of the Danbury Fair Mall. (Finlay 3/25/2011)
