DescriptionFive men are playing harmonicas, apparently on a platform or stage. One man wears a cowboy hat, vest, and plaid shirt. Anoterh wears plaid pants, a beaked cap, and a vest. A third wears a suit and a derby hat. Spectators, a clock announcing the time of the next show, and a sign are in the background. What appears to be a pushcart with toys on it is at the right.
NotesSubject Note: The Danbury Fair was an annual exhibition held in Danbury between 1821 and 1981. At first a traditional agricultural fair, the event later included large fiberglass sculptures, stock car racing, and amusement park rides. The former fairground is now (2011) the site of the Danbury Fair Mall. (Finlay 3/25/2011)
