DescriptionA man in a print shirt is playing a crude violin while other men and two women look on. The men are wearing suits and hats. The women are also wearing hats. One wears a floral corsage and holds a pocket book. The other is wearing a fur piece, apparently a fox with head intact, over a suit.
NotesSubject Note: The Danbury Fair was an annual exhibition held in Danbury between 1821 and 1981. At first a traditional agricultural fair, the event later included large fiberglass sculptures, stock car racing, and amusement park rides. The former fairground is now (2011) the site of the Danbury Fair Mall. (Finlay 3/25/2011)Tude Tanquay was a fiddle player from Warren, Connecticut.
