DescriptionA man with several knives in his belt is wielding two pistols. He has a beard and mustache and wears a straw hat with three feathers in it. In the background, twenty-nine male figures appear to be mining gold in barren hills, presumably in California. A fight has broken out between several men. Other men look on.
NotesSubject Note: This print is probably a reference to the California Gold Rush of 1849.

Technique Note: Very simple hand-coloring in shades of blue and gold.
