DescriptionTwo men and a woman are seated at a table. The men wear suits; one man wears a necktie with the Connecticut state flag on it. The woman is wearing a suit, a bracelet, and a hat with a veil. One of the men is spreading a napkin in his lap. A bouquet of flowers in a vase, plates, silverware, salt and pepper shakers, water glasses, bread, and ashtrays are on the table. A knotty pine wall is in the background.
NotesSubject Note: The Danbury Fair was an annual exhibition held in Danbury between 1821 and 1981. At first a traditional agricultural fair, the event later included large fiberglass sculptures, stock car racing, and amusement park rides. The former fairground is now (2011) the site of the Danbury Fair Mall. (Finlay 3/25/2011)

The man wearing the necktie with the Connecticut state flag is Governor John Davis Lodge. Lodge was governor of Connecticut from 1951 to 1955. (Finlay 7/22/2011)
