DescriptionA tree-lined street splits off to the right, with trolley tracks in center, and horse drawn wagons, and a horse drawn carriage near curbs. Three-story colonial brick house at left has chimneys, shuttered windows, and a portico with Ionic fluted columns. Board fence along lawn. Wood frame gable front houses visible on right. Utility poles and wires, also a street light. South Green is on the right.
NotesSubject Note: The Henry Barnard House was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1966. It was built in 1807, the Greek Revival potico was added 1843. The house was at 28 Main Street, later renumbered to 118 Main Street. The A. & M. Taylor referred to on verso probably refers to Ada Louis Taylor and Mary Curtin Taylor, daughters of Samuel Taylor.
