DescriptionMost photographs are views of the old YMCA building in Hartford. Some were taken from the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch or from Bushnell Park. One photograph includes signs that read: "GIVE OUR YOUTH / THE Y THEY DESERVE / CITIZENS CAMPAIGN - $50,000 / FOR NEW Y.M.C.A. BUILDING / JUNE 2-15. One photograph shows an artist's conception of the new YMCA building planned for East Hartford. Two color photographs are aerial views showing the old YMCA building, surrounding streets and buildings, and a corner of Bushnell Park, including Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch. Several photographs include the Hilton Hotel.
NotesSubject Note: The YMCA was located at 315-323 Pearl Street, at the corner of Jewell Street.
