DescriptionTwo men wearing suits are walking along a paved sidewalk leading from a monument in the form of a classical temple surmounted by a figure of Victory. Trees and grassy lawns are at left and right. Commercial buildings are in the background.
NotesSubject Note: The Civil War monument in New Britain's Central Park was designed by Ernest Flagg (1857-1847). It was dedicated on 19 September 1900. Two photographs in the Connecticut Historical Society show Civil War soldiers assembled in the location now occupied by the monument. (Finlay 6/29/2012)
