DescriptionBand members in uniform pose for formal group photographs. The Junior Mechanics Drum Corps pose outside on a grassy lawn in front of a board fence. Seated band members hold drums and drumsticks, including a bass drum with an inscription that reads "JR. MECHANICS DRUM CORPS / NEW BRITAIN, CONN." Muscians in the back are row are standing, holding fifes. The American Band poses in an interior in front of a large American flag. Band members in the front row are seated and hold wind instruments and brass instruments. Men in back hold drums, including a bass drum that reads "AMERICAN / New Britain, Conn." Cymbals, tubas, and trombones. A sign on the floor reads "AMERICAN BAND".
