DescriptionInterior and exterior views of a plumbing store. The exterior view has a sign that reads "A. S. Johnson / Plumbing / Steam Fitting / Jobbing". Other signs on the building read: "Crona's" "Confectionary / Cigars - Nert Bros. - Fruit". Interior displays include sinks, toilets, bathtubs, towel bars, mirrors, electric light fixtures, and table lamps, including Tiffany style lamps, and what appear to be vacuum cleaners. One photograph shows a group of men on a parade float with a sign that reads: "Plumbers Union #251"

NotesSubject Note: According to a note on one of the photographs, the plumbing supply store occupied the building that formerly housed the Vienna Bakery. The Guenthers are said to have left the building in 1918. However, a search of New Britain city directories has not located a plumbing supply business at 159 Main Street. (Finlay 2/4/2011)
