DescriptionView of the front of a large brick Georgian revival house. Vines, probably ivy, grow on the facade. A driveway and a grassy lawn are in the foreground. Ornamental shrubs and trees are in the background.
NotesConstituent Note: The relationship between E. Ayling and Croydon, both of whom signed the photograph, is unclear, but it seems probably that Ayling took the photograph and Croydon printed it. (Finlay 1/27/2011)

Subject Note: It is likely that the house was located in the Asylum Hill area in the block bordered by Atwood Street, Collins Street, Woodland Street, and Asylum Avenue. This block is now occupied by Saint Francis Hospital. (Finlay 1/27/2011)
