DescriptionTwo views of the same house. The Victorian Gothic villa is of brick construction, with projecting bays and porches, bargeboards, dormers, and louvered shutters. Some windows have striped awnings. One side of the house, apparently facing the garden, Is overgrown with vines, possibly trumpet vines. A folding bench is beside a small tree in the grassy lawn in front of the house.
Label TextThe Victorian Gothic Villa at 94 Woodland Street was the home of Maria Strong and Mary P. Collins in the late nineteenth century. The site is now occupied by Saint Francis Hospital.
NotesSubject Note: The house at 94 Woodland Street was part of a block of houses demolished to make room for the expansion of Saint Francis Hospital in the 1940s. (Finlay 1/27/2011)
