DescriptionFan (.a) - Handpainted silk satin and carved ivory fan, probably Oriental. Ornate carved ivory guards and sticks with floral and grape motifs. Leaf face is made of ivory silk and hand-painted with a floral garland, verso has ornate mongram in forget-me-nots: "HHJ." Ornate shaped gilt metal loop at base of fan.
Box (.b) - Box covered in ivory silk. Inside of box lid reads "Tiffany & Co/Union Square."
