Description9/11 pin designed by William Zaczynski, an Enfield Police Department officer, to commemorate efforts of emergency responders lost in terrorist attacks that day, and the victims. Pin incorporates the World Trade Center towers, Pentagon, and "93" (for the United Airlines flight that was brought down). This was found in the 9/11 exhibit file, having originally been loaned to Elizabeth Lewis for the 9/11 exhibit.
Label TextThis pin was designed by Sergeant William Zaczynski of the Enfield Police Department, as a tribute to all the first responders as well as all the United States citizens who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.
The pin represents the buildings that were attacked: the Pentagon, and the World Trade Center towers, as well as flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania.
The words Police, Fire, and EMS also appear on the pin. All proceeds from sales of the pin go to the Silver Shield Foundation that funds the education of children of police, fire and EMS parents whose lives were lost in the line of duty.
