Object number2010.269.2
DescriptionHalf-length studio portrait of a woman wearing a dress made of polka dot fabric with full sleeves and a white collar.
NotesSubject Note: According to the dealer from whom this daguerreotype was purchased, it came from the same source as 2010.269.1, which has the name "William Crofut" and the date inscribed within the case. Both daguerreotypes are stamped by the photographer "E. D. Ritton" and appear to constitute a pair, so it seems probable though not certain that the subjects are husband and wife. (Finlay 9/10/2010)
