DescriptionTwo identical profile portraits of a woman face in other in the upper panel of a wood frame. The lower panel has a border of type ornaments and letterpress and manuscript inscriptions with genealogical information.
NotesDate Note: The family record must date from after 1813, the last date printed in letterpress. This is the date of Calvin Spencer's death, which explains why his silhouette is not paired with his wife's, in the usual fashion. Instead, two silhouettes of Mehitabel Spencer are mounted facing each other. The recod must have been executed sometime before 1831, the first date inscribed on the register.

Subject Note: Calvin and Mehitabel Spencer lived in East Haddam. They were the parents of Elijah Spencer.
