DescriptionA house with louvered shutters is partially hidden behind a row of trees and a picket fence. Attached outbuildings are at the left of the house. Stone steps lead up a grassy slope to a dirt path. A man wearing a top hat and carrying a case, perhaps a doctor's bag, is on the path. A cart is on a dirt road in the foreground. The horse is hitched to a hitching post near the steps. The dirt road is deeply rutted.
