DescriptionAn omnibus drawn by two horses is beneath the pointed arch of the brownstone Soldiers and Sailors Memorial. The arch has two round towers, crenellations, a corbel table, and a frieze. A sign on the omnibus reads, "H. & W.H.R.R.CO." A man on a ladder is behind the horses. Another man stands nearby. A woman stands next to a tree at the left. A pile of dirt in is in the foreground.
NotesHistorical Note: The Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, designed by George Keller, was erected in 1885 as a monument to those who served and died in the Civil War.
