DescriptionPlans for a two-story brick house with attic and basement, designed in somewhat of a Colonial Revival style when viewed from the front. Drawings include front, rear, and side elevations, floor plans for all four levels, a plot plan with grading, and revised plans showing flues in the north chimney. The architect specified a slate roof with copper window coverings and cornices, copper gutters, and stone coping and sills. Parapet projections are visible on each of two chimneys located on both ends of a gabled roof, and cast iron decorative grills are positioned on either side of the front entry. The front door itself has eight molded panels with a transom, adjoined by compound pilasters and a pedimented frontispiece. Windows in the center house section are of the sash-type, with 6 over 6 lights and architrave trim. Those on the first and second floors also have shutters. The house's end sections feature casement windows with differing light schemes, but those on the second floor have shutters.
The basement floor plan contains specifications for a concrete garage, preserves closet, closets, laundry and drying room, toilet, coke/coal bins, boiler room, wood storage, and shaft for a wooden lift. Rooms on the first floor include: a large work room; servants hall, toilet, pantry, kitchen, butler's pantry, and closets, all with rubber tiling; conservatory with heather brown tile; slate floor terrace with wrought iron rail; balcony with wrought iron rail; hall, breakfast room, dining room, and living room with oak floors and painted trim; sun room with slate floor and pineboard walls with oak beams. Second floor rooms include: four baths with rubber tile floors; closets; upper portion of work room with lofts on opposite walls; corridor, two maid's rooms, three chambers, sewing room, hallways, all with oak floors and painted trim. The third level/attic has two guest rooms with oak floors and painted trim, as well as storage areas, a hanging closet, bath with rubber tiling, and closets.
