DescriptionAn airplane with United States insignia flies low over a Japanese base. Three enemy aircraft are on the ground and two of them are on fire. NotesSubject Note: The Vought Corsair F-4U was a fighter plane widely used by the United States Navy and Marines during World War II and the Korean War. It was often launched from aircraft carriers. The prototype was produced in 1939 in Stratford, CT; the aircraft continued to be used by some nations as late as the 1960s. (Finlay 4/1/2010)
