DescriptionAn airplane is flying low over what appears to be the Pacific Ocean. A small sailing vessel is in the foreground. In the background, the sun is either rising or setting among clouds, casting a path of light across the water.
NotesSubject Note: The Liberator B-24 went into production in 1940 and small numbers were provided to Britain's Royal Air Force in 1940-1941. It was produced in even larger numbers than the other famous World War II bomber, the Flying Fortress, and was used by the United States both in Europe and the Pacific. (Finlay 3/31/2010).
