DescriptionWithin an oval frame, a young woman holds a sheet or blanket edged with lace above her sleeping child. The child wears a cap and a nightgown with puffed sleeves and holds a rattle. Its head rests on a plump pillow. Drapery is in the left background, a window is in the right background. The frame is decorated with flower and leaf motifs.
