DescriptionPhotograph album consists of photographs of the Thomaston and Waterbury area of Connecticut. The album includes photographs of the Thomaston High School, the Soldier's Memorial, and the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston.
Surnames in the album are Newberth, Dick, Wolfe, Goodwin, Scoville, Miller, Duff, Botsford, Levi, Westover, and Murnone.
Several photographs are of families and their homes. There is a photograph of a young girl's birthday party and two photographs of the interior of Dentist Parson's operating and waiting rooms. Two photographs are of young children sledding.
Photographs include the interior and Christmas window display at Bidwell's Jewelry Store.
There are several photographs of people picnicking and boating on Bantam Lake in Morris and a view of sailboats sailing off Lighthouse Point on Long Island Sound.
The album also includes photographs of the destruction from the 1902 Waterbury fire and firemen's parades. The parades include the Colt's Marching Band, the Old Well Fire Company and the Pioneer Fire Company from Norwalk, the Eagle Hose Company from Ansonia, the Winsted Fire Department, and the Crescent Hose Fire Company of Thomaston.
Several views are of the Waterbury Reservoir, the dam, rapids and Two Mile Bridge over the Naugatuck River, Pequabuck Falls in Terryville, and an unidentified river gorge. King's Mill and Roberts Mill's dams are also included in the photograph album. There are also scenes of Leigh's Quarry in both the winter and warmer months.
The album also includes photographs of various views of Albany, New York and views of Massachusetts such as the Hoosac Tunnel in North Adams and the dam on the Merrimac River in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
