DescriptionPostcards include images of several Connecticut shoreline beaches. Images include Double Beach (Branford), Seaside Park (Bridgeport), Gaertner's Island on Byram Shore (East Port Chester), Eastern Point (Groton), Field Point and South Beach (Greenwich), Hammonassett Beach, Madison Beach, Webster Point Beach, Middle Beach, Sound view Beach, Shore Edge Beach, and Tom's Rock Beach (Madison), Pond Point Beach and Merwins Point Beach (Milford), Crescent Beach (Niantic), and Camp Beach Pavilion (Westport).

Images include women in bathing suits, sailing, playing, and swimming on the Long Island shoreline. Other views include private residences along the shore, Hotel Griswold, boat houses, sunbathers, the boardwalk on Hammonassett, the Madison Beach Hotel and cottages, beach umbrellas, automobiles, boats, picnic areas, ice-cream parlors, and Hillyer's Public Bath Houses.
NotesSubject Note: 2009.27.73 is an image of four people sailing on a boat off of Double Beach that has come about and the boom has knocked them backward over the cockpit. The image is titled "Going Sailing-When the Boom Swings Over." The image was published by C. T. American Art.
