DescriptionKatharine Hepburn is lying on her back with her feet in the air. She is wearing a scarf, sweater, and slacks. Three men with shovels are nearby, one seated in the sand, and two standing. The beach is strewn with rubble, probably from hurricane damage to the Hepburn house during the Hurricane of 1938. An automobile, a salt marsh, and a large house and other buildings are in the background.
