DescriptionAmerican flag consisting of an unknown number of gold painted stars and 13 red and white stripes. The canton of the flag has gold painted stars and a painted design that appears to be a seal, that is in pieces. The header is hemmed with a heavy thread or string.
NotesObject Note: According to the donor, this flag was presented to his grandfather, Horace Johnson Morse, Adjutant General of Connecticut, by the Captain of the flag's regiment. It was reputedly flown before St. Petersburg by one of the Connecticut Regiments.
