DescriptionWhite cotton netting was attached to a circular flat cap to create this veil. The lower edge of the veil is scalloped into four semicircles, each twenty inches in diameter. The edges of the netting are finished with a two ply Z twisted low/no twist multifilament white silk yarn. The cap is supported by a thin ring of wire, enclosed in white silk satin ribbon and more cotton netting. The cap is slightly tear-drop shaped, coming to a point at the center front. Along the outer edge of the cap is a one inch wide strip of gathered ribbon. Running along the left side from the center front to center back is a second row of one inch wide gathered ribbon. The crown of the cap is formed from cotton netting. Thirteen inches of elastic, 1/16 inch in diameter, is attached on the underside of the cap on the left and right sides.
