DescriptionA crane and several trucks are employed in the construction of a large dam in a river valley. A few men are dwarfed by the huge scale of the construction project. A sign in the foreground reads "WATER LEVEL / WILL COME / TO HERE". A cleared field, access roads, and trees are on the far side of the river. An additional crane is in the background.
NotesSubject Note: The Shepaug Dam is currently (2008) operated by FirstLight Power Resources. During the winter, the power company permits access to an observation area overlooking the dam for viewing bald eagles.
