DescriptionThis sea green day dress of a cotton/rayon blend plain-woven fabric has a dropped waist, falling twenty inches from the shoulder seam. Its sleeves are 22 inches long and slightly gathered at the armscye. The front of the dress has a double-breasted look, with two rows of buttons running down the center front. The right side of the dress is lapped over the left and held with 1/2-inch sea green, square, plastic buttons. The second row of buttons are found three inches from the row of buttons on the left. The square white collar is formed from plain-woven and crocheted cotton. It falls approximately eight inches from the shoulder seam on the front of the dress and seven inches on the back. The collar is approximately 15 1/2 inches wide. The 23 3/4-inch long skirt has six pleats, three at the center front and three at the center back. The center pleat is inverted and is 4 1/2 inches wide. Pleats to the left and right of the inverted pleat are 4 1/4 inches wide. Metal snaps are found on the left and right sides of the collar to keep the double breasted syle of the dress closed. There is also a hook on the right side of the dress just above the waistline. The yarn eye is at the left side of the dress. There are synthetic shoulder pads lined with sea green, plain-woven polyester at each shoulder.
