DescriptionThis dark turquoise, wool-blend, plain-woven suit has a short jacket and knee-length straight skirt. The two-piece collar and lapel is approximately nineteen inches long. The double-breasted jacket has only one set of one-inch plastic, dark blue buttons. The straight, two-pieced long sleeves are 22 inches long; they have 1 3/4-inch faux plackets on the outside and three 1/2-inch dark blue plastic buttons placed vertically in a row, beginning one inch from the sleeve edge. There are two 4 1/2- x 1/4-inch welt pockets at the front waist. The interior of the jacket is lined with a green synthetic satin weave. Concealed under this lining are shoulder pads. The lining is continued through the arms of the jacket.

The matching straight skirt is slightly gathered at the 1 1/4-inch waistband. The gathering occurs in 3 1/4-inch sections, two inches in from the side seams at either side of the front of the skirt. On the back of the skirt, there are four four-inch darts. The center back of the skirt has an eight-inch plastic zipper, ending at the base of the waistband. A 1/2-inch wide hook is placed 1 1/4 inches in from the edge of the waistband on the right side, and an eye is placed 1/2 inch in from the left waistband edge. The skirt is lined with green synthetic fabric identical to the jacket lining. The back of the skirt has a center slit, measuring six inches long.
