DescriptionSamples of wallpaper printed using a combination of block printing and stenciling featuring decorative patterns of flowers and leaves. One flower appears to be a stylized poppy; some leaves appear to be ivy leaves. Another fragment features stalks of grain and a border features swatches of drapery tied in bows.
Object number2008.26.1-.5
NotesDate Note: Although the wallpaper is from a house built in 1756, it is likely somewhat later in date, probably from the late eighteenth century. The wallpaper from the ell, featuring an ivy design probably dates from the nineteenthy century. (Finlay 3/21/2014)On View
