DescriptionA large group of men in black tie and women in evening gowns pose for a formal portrait in large room, probably a ball room. Boys and girls kneel on the floor in the foreground. Some people wear eyeglasses or floral corsages. Some are smiling. Some girls wear dresses with sashes. Decorations in the form of large stars hang from the electric lights and from the ceiling.
NotesTitle Note: An inscription on the folder in which the photograph was originally housed reads "Newton C. Brainard's 80th Birthday."

Date Note: Newton C. Brainard was born in 1880, so his 80th birthday would have taken place in 1960. He died in 1964.

Constituent Note: Presumably Norman R. Pastor, whose name appears on the original folder, worked for Capitol Studios.
