DescriptionThese photographs include members of the Heinze family including Meta Heinze. All are formal studio portraits. The group photographs include men with hats cutting fish and men and women in a boat. A man and woman posine with a bouquet of flowers in front of the ocean. Men and women pose in an automobile that served as a prop in a photographer's studio.
NotesSubject notes: 2006.49.102 is a tintype that was taken at the Grove Gallery at Savin Rock Amusement Park in West Haven, CT.

This album consists of photographs of Meta Heinze before her marriage to Alexander Tatro. Meta Heinze was born in Sweden and moved to the United States in 1880. She came with her sister and they worked as maids for wealthy families around Hartford such as the Ponds. The Ponds House in Elizabeth Park is named after them. She married Alexander Tatro in 1900 and her daughter Amy was born in 1906. (1910 Federal Census, Hartford Courant: Sept. 12, 2004)
