DescriptionJacket (.a): This tuxedo is made from black twill-woven wool. It has faux sleeve plackets that are four inches long and decorated with two 1/2-inch black plastic buttons. Two flap pockets are located nine inches up from the hem at either hip. There is also a welted left breast pocket, 4 1/2 inches long, running on a slight angle. There are two 7 3/4-inch-long darts running up from each hip pocket. The two-piece collar has a fourteen-inch lapel, lined with a black silk satin. Identical satin is used to line the interior of the jacket, with the exception of the center back and the sleeves. The back neck, however, is partially lined, and exposed seams are finished with black satin binding. A single black plastic button is used at the center front, 12 1/2 inches from the hem. The center front hem edges are rounded and are slightly "cut away," angling outward. There is one interior right breast pocket, 5 1/2 inches long, running vertically. The sleeves are lined wth a white silk satin.
Vest (.b): This vest has a "U" shaped lapel that is 16 1/4 inches long. The front of the vest is faced with an alternating wide and narrow rib weave. There are two angled pockets, found at either side of the waist, three inches up from the side seam hemline. The pointed front sides are approximately 4 1/2 inches longer than the side seam hemlines. There are three 1/2-inch black buttons at the opening (there should be four--one is missing). The entire vest is lined in a black plain-woven cotton. A 3 5/8-inch long loop of 1/4-inch wide elastic is attached on the right front interior, 4 3/4 inches up from the lower point and 1/2 inch in from the right edge. The back of the vest is covered in black plain-woven silk. There is a self-fabric strap at the back of the vest for adjusting the fit; it is attached at the side seams and again, 4 3/4 inches in from these seams. It buckles in the center with a small black metal buckle.
Trousers (.c): These trousers are made of a black twill-woven wool (identical to that used for the jacket). The pant legs are creased. At the side seams, 3/4-inch-wide black silk ribbon has been applied to the length of the leg, beginning at the bottom waistband edge and ending at the hem. The inseam pockets are six inches long. There is also a small 2 3/4-inch-wide pocket at the front right waistline. There are two welt pockets at the back. The waistband is 1 3/4 inches wide, and has six belt loops. The interior of the waistband is lined in black twill-woven cotton, also used for the pocket linings. The inside of the waistband has six 1/2-inch black buttons attached to it. Five 3/8-inch black buttons are used for the hidden fly front.
