DescriptionAutomobiles are parked in front of a one-story motel with a continuous porch in front of the units. A sign reads: "Old Saybrook / MOTOR / HOTEL." Signs on a separate signpost read: "PHONE / IN EVERY ROOM" and "SELECTED BY / EMMONS / WALKER." A paved driveway and grassy lawn are in the foreground. Scattered about the lawn are young trees, an American flag on a flagpole, an above-ground swimming pool, folding lawn chairs, and a round metal table with an umbrella. Wires from a utility pole run to the motel. IN one photograph, the motel sign is reflected in a puddle.
