DescriptionView of the Connecticut State Library and Supreme Court building shows a stone beaux-arts building with classical Doric columns, balustrades, a central projecting porch with a broad flight of entrance stairs and flanking wings with two-story rectangular windows. Allegorical sculptures are at the corners of the central pavilion. Grassy lawns, trees, and a paved street and sidewalks are in the foreground. Automobiles are on the street. A woman wearing a dress and carrying a handbag walks on the sidewalk. One photograph shows the interior of the Museum of Connecticut History with exhibition cases and framed paintings, including Gilbert Stuart's portrait of George Washington and Charles DeWolf Brownell's painting of the Charter Oak.
