DescriptionWoman's sleeveless day dress of cotton, printed with a brown net-like background pattern, overlaid with scattered brown and white flowers. The bodice is styled with a piped center front seam. The sides of the bodice front, which are cut on the bias and are pieced horizontally across the bustline, are slightly gathered into this center seam. The waist is pointed; it is bound and piped with self-fabric. The armholes are similarly bound and piped, though the binding is wider. The dress closes at center back with brass hooks and eyes. The bodice is lined with plain-woven white cotton fabric cut on the bias in front and on the straight grain in back. The skirt is gathered to the waistline with cartridge pleats. The hem is lined for a depth of 4 1/8 inches with brown plain-woven cotton.
