DescriptionCircular metal button covered in laminated paper. The top of half of the paper is white, with five blue start around the edge. The name "ANN/ UCCELLO" is printed in red. The bottom half of the button has thirteen vertical stripes, alternating red to blue. A wire pin around the interior rim of the button has a pointed end sticking out, allowing the button to be fastened to clothing.
NotesHistorical Note: Antonina "Ann" P. Uccello was raised in Hartford, Connecticut. She taught high school for one year and worked in management at G. Fox and Company, then was asked to run for Mayor of Hartford in 1967. A Republican, Ann Uccello became the first female mayor of Hartford. (Hudson 8/8/2007)
