DescriptionNeedlework picture worked in yellow, medium brown, dark and medium green, lilac, purple, red, pink, light blue and black silk threads on a satin-woven, cream-colored silk ground using a satin stitch and other stitches. The picture is rectangular, oriented vertically. It has four bunches of grapes on a vine over a thick stem in a low hill; there are two birds sitting on the branches of the vine.

Stitches: The primary stitch is satin stitch; it also includes encroaching satin, outline, flat.

Condition: The ground is in very poor condition. The top of the ground is stained significantly, with additional water stains at the left center side. The ground is broken or shattered at many areas across the top and around all the edges. The silk threads are severely faded.
