DescriptionA desk set that was presented as a gift. A leather case designed to hold the three desk tools, a pair of scissors, a letter opener, and a magnifying glass. The letter opener and the scissors are silver in color with gold or brass tone handles. The magnifying glass is entirely a gold or brass tone with a glass lens. The letter opener is engraved on the handle, "MOSES FOX CLUB 1968". Both the letter opener and the scissors are imprinted with "GERMANY". The case is imprinted, "SIMULATED LEATHER / GERMANY".

NotesHistorical Note: The Moses Fox Club was for employees of the department store G. Fox & Co., in Hartford, Connecticut, who had been with the company for 25 years or more. It was named after Moses Fox (1850-1938), the son of the founder of the store, Gerson Fox. (Lee 7/6/2009)
