DescriptionCylindrical, black bakelite plastic junction box in the original paper box. The junction box (.a) has four punch-outs spaced evenly around the sides, to attach conduits to it. The junction box is hollow. Four screws accompany the junction box, for screwing on a separately packaged junction box lid (2003.334.2a,b).

The two-piece box has a plain cardboard bottom (.c), and a printed cardboard lid (.b). The lid is yellow, printed with a pattern of red circles. Inside every circle is printed, "ARROW/ AH/ HART". A yellow paper label affixed to the front of the box lid is printed in black ink. It reads, "ARROW-HART/ ONE 6081/ JUNCTION BOX/ BLACK BAKELITE 4 1/8 IN. DIA./ ARROW-HART & HEGEMAN ELECTRIC CO. HARTFORD, CO., U.S.A."
