DescriptionRectangular hinged pasteboard box covered with off-white paper. There are strips of brown paper around the edges of the box and the lid. A piece of pink paper is pasted to the top of the box, and printed in black ink with a cherub holding a piece of rope or string and walking on grass with a tree and a fence in the background. There is a mirror in the interior of the box, tucked up in the lid, with a paper lace border around it. The box contains some strung steel beads, and a few small brass buttons, some marked, "GANTS DE PARIS".

NotesMirror is likely made of tin-mercury amalgam. Improper handling of historic mercury amalgam mirrors presents a potential risk for elemental mercury exposure.
