DescriptionA small wooden wheelbarrow souvenir. The base of the wheelbarrow is a single flat piece of wood with two carved handles, and a wooden wheel attached at the front with a wooden pin. There are two small wooden dowels used as legs attached near the handles. A wood platform appears to be nailed to the base forming the bed of the wheelbarrow. A piece of wood set into the base of the wheelbarrow near the wheel has been broken off; this appears to be part of the piece that formed the front side of the wheelbarrow.
Object number1949.2.13
NotesUse note: The small wooden wheelbarrow was used as a party favor at the 100th Anniversary of G. Fox & Co. at the Moses Fox Club Dinner for employees in 1947. It can be seen on the table in a photograph from the event, and appears to have held a small box with a ribbon. (Lee 6/20/07)On View
