DescriptionRectangular hinged cardboard box covered with a dark blue irridescent paper. There are other paper decorations adhered to the sides and top including: embossed papers with gold detail and roses on the front and back; women in various period costume with an additional paper lace border framing each on the top; on the left side, an oval design of birds in a fruit tree surrounded by a design of grape vines, and outline figures of men and women; and on the right side, a woman standing by a bush with a small child sleeping on the ground. The sides of the box are sewn together, this appears to be part of the construction as the main layer of paper on the outside covers the thread.
