Notes"Plaza 5" was the name of a department at G. Fox & Co. It may have been named for the telephone exchange in Manhattan for the area around Fifth Avenue and the Plaza Hotel where many of New York City's stylish stores were located like Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman's and Bonwitt Teller's.
