DescriptionMan's white linen shirt collar, starched, with buttonholes which are sewn to either end as well as a buttonhole at the back of the collar to secure collar to shirt. The points of the collar are rounded. The collar is formed from a piece of cloth which has been folded in half.

NotesHistorical Note: "E & W" was the trademark for the firm Earl & Wilson, a manufacturer of shirts and collars formed in 1867 in Troy, New York. The firm still operates today under the ownership of the TJX Companies, Incorporated, in Framingham, Massachusetts. (Blakelock 11/2008)
