DescriptionDrawing of a winter scene with buildings on Main Street in downtown Hartford. A small wood frame building with a gambrel roof at the center represents the first store started by Gerson Fox in 1847 that became G. Fox & Co. There are several people that appear to be in period clothing by the building, and a horse drawn sleigh moving away from it. A patch of empty space on the drawing around the building makes it appear to glow. Surrounding the small building are other larger buildings, including an eleven story building with a marquee to the right, with several people walking by and two automobiles parked on the street. The walkway over Talcott Street is partially visible between the buildings. There is snow falling across the scene.
