DescriptionDrawing of a woman seated by a fireplace with a boy, a girl, and a dog. The boy sits on the floor while girl stands leaning against the woman. The fireplace has a cooking pot hanging over the fire, and a large plate and pot at one side. Bellows hang beside the fire. Two candles, a small pitcher, a figurine, and a clock are on the mantlepiece. The woman appears to be pointing towards the clock, which is meant to represent the type of clocks made by Eli Terry of Plymouth, CT. An empty chair is at the left.
