DescriptionDrawing of a man meant to represent Danbury hatter Ezra Mallory bartering with Native Americans. Two men stand in the foreground; the man on the left is wearing a suit and a top hat. He holds another top hat in his hand, and also a feathered headdress. The man on the right is dressed in Native American style clothes, holds a peace pipe in his hand, and also wears a top hat. In the background there are three teepees and several other Native American men looking at a trunk, and laughing at the men with the top hats. To the right a man with a horse talks to another Native American man.
